Designed for the opening of Alva Hotel by Royal, the primary purpose of this art installation is to promote the importance of upcylcing. It is composed of eighty eight used bicycle wheels collected from the local community. All wheels are set in grid within an oval plan, supported by steel pipes with various heights and rotated in difference angles. It results in a colorful leaf-like surface floating with lightness and harmonizing with the surrounding greeneries. These used wheels would be treated as useless objects and abandoned if they were not collected for this project. Through the process of creativity, the rolling dynamic of bicycle wheels has been transformed into a floating and flowing dynamic. Through upcycling, useless things have been given a second life.
