Our Principal Fai Au receives Young Architect Prize, Chivas 18 Architecture and Design Awards 2014. The Young Architect Prize is given to individual who has shown exceptional leadership and made significant contributions to the profession at an early stage of their architectural career.

Nature and Architecture is the awards focus in 2014. There are 2 facets of this focus:

• The harmonious connection between architecture and its surrounding natural environment
• Blending natural elements into architecture in terms of design elements, building materials and the overall building process

In 2011 HKIA Annual Award Ceremony, O Studio Architects receives Medal of the Year for Projects outside Hong Kong from Mrs Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, GBS, JP, Secretary for Development of HKSAR.

This is the highest honor of all awards given by HKIA to members’ works of architectural excellence outside Hong Kong and setting an outstanding benchmark in architectural profession. O Studio Architects is the youngest practice winning this award category so far.

Fai Au and his Harvard GSD Teammates presented their finalist project for ULI/Gerald. D. Hines Urban Design Competition at the Museum of Contemporary Arts, San Diego. The presentation catalyzed an exciting discussion among the Jury panel and the general public.

Fai Au was interviewed by Hing Magazine Hong Kong. He shared his view on architecture and Philosophy.

Fai Au received his YAA award at the 2007 HKIA Annual Award Ceremony. The winning project, Fanling Classic Car Museum will be exhibited in Pacific Place, Admiralty from 26 April to 10 May 2008.

Fai Au presented his winning project, Fanling Classic Car Museum to the media at the HKIA Annual Award Press Conference. The proposed transformation of the former magistracy court to a classic car museum became the core interest of the media.

After the finalist interviews the Jury decided to award Champion to Fai Au. His winning design project, Fanling Classic Car Museum and his professional portfolio were well recognized by the jury.
